In short, the answer to that question is that we’ll be going to Telluride, Colorado, and instead of a shiny car it will be a 24-ton production truck. Still the sentiment remains resolute. The annual “Transparent Health” patient safety roundtable will be taking place all week and we’ll be there to capture every moment as well as the remarkable visage of its location. The footage we take will eventually be featured in a documentary highlighting medical malpractice in the United States and how best to resolve its occurrence; a finished product I look forward to seeing.

So too, have I greatly anticipated the trip itself, as it’s been met with more hype than Carly Rae Jepsen. It’s a stretch but I expect that the trip will return more dividends than this song ever could. This should be a great opportunity to learn in a number of capacities from the material presented, to shooting a unique event, to survival within a confined space with multiple people for several days. Although the temperatures will likely prohibit me from snowboarding — because of which growing accustomed to the landscape itself will be interesting enough – there will be plenty of opportunities to explore and share afterwards. At the very least there will be plenty of awesome experiences to be had on the road.

As 5 a.m. rolls around tomorrow and we put the skyscrapers in the rearview awaiting the sight of mountain peaks, nobody, nobody knows what’s going to happen to anybody besides the forlorn tapes of a successful shoot, I think of Dean Moriarty; I mean, I think of SolidLine.
