SolidLine Media spends a lot of time on the road, but sometimes it just feels good to be home.

By home, we mean our studio, of course.

When we moved to our new offices at 180 W. Washington in Chicago, we made sure we had enough space to create our own studio. Today, we use the 25′ long, 15′ wide SolidLine Studio space for all kinds of production work. We’ve had bands set up and record music….

We’ve had dozens of clients come through our doors to tape interviews….

And we’re geared up to do any Chroma work…..

Here is a sampling of what we have available for use:

  • Grid Pre-hung lights: 6 x Mole-Richardson Baby-Zip 2000 Watt Tungsten Softlites
  • Grid Backlight: 1x Mole Richardson 300 Watt Betweenie
  • 6 C-stands, apple boxes, electrical cables
  • Additional camera and lighting equipment available for rent

This week, Dan Fisher of BOTTLEROCKET Media occupied the space – they’ve been in the marketing video business for about 18 months. We asked him a few questions about how his experience went.

SLM: What were you working on this week? Looked like something fun.
DAN FISHER: I was shooting a set of demonstration videos for a local toy company. It was fun – each day a different brand and a different set of personalities.
SLM: What brought you into our studio?
DF: The environment is great all around. It’s a young crowd with a good deal of talent, and they’re very amendable. Everybody was very interested to know that we had everything we needed during shooting. I also liked how the backdrops were pretty much all lit and ready to go when we arrived.

So, if you’re in the business and looking for space to shoot professional video productions in Chicago, give us a holler. You can find all of our CONTACT INFORMATION here.
