shadow imageAfter weeks on end of travel, things have finally calmed down at SolidLine a bit. I’ve had a chance to catch up with my friends, there’s actually food in my refrigerator now, and I have an entire closet of clothes to choose from instead of living out of my suitcase.
It’s great to be back home, but I must admit, I’m already missing the hustle and bustle of traveling the country. Having down time, however, has afforded me the opportunity to reflect on all of the great experiences I’ve had here at SolidLine – some of which are exactly what you’d expect being a video production intern, others took me by surprise. Let me elaborate.
One of our most recent jobs landed us in Telluride, Colorado, which is a place I’ve always wanted to visit; and despite the 8-hour drive from the Denver International Airport, SolidLine got me there sooner than I could have ever imagined.
Towards the mountainI’m also really excited to be working on projects that have peaked my own interest as a filmmaker. There have been many situations that have got my mind rolling in terms of work that I would like to create in the future, and I’ve even been able to network with professionals who may be able to help me out down the road. Plus, working with brands that everyone has heard of is a great feeling, and makes it pretty fun to tell my friends about what I did at work today.
Tomorrow is the 4th of July (Wahoo! A day off!!), and then it’s back to the grind on Monday. I have a week full of editing ahead of me and I’m looking forward to testing my skills in the Avid suite. Enjoy the holiday everyone.
Patriotically,
Boots
