We figured we needed to post about this after discussing the new Apple MacBooks earlier in the week.

After a much slobbered-upon revealing of the new MacBook with Retina Display, the engineers over at iFixIt got their hands on one and took it apart.

What they found was very similar to the MacBook Air. Many parts of the laptop, including the RAM and the battery, are glued or soldered into place. That means when you make your RAM choice, you’re stuck. No upgrading available.

It also makes the laptop extremely difficult to repair. The site gave the computer a 1/10 on their scale. Check out the full report HERE.

Meanwhile, Apple has released a commercial for their new MacBook Pro. Called “Every Dimension,” the spot features one shot of the laptop slowly spinning, showcasing the vivid colors of the display and its razor thin shape.

Given the new information about the interior of the MacBook Pro with Retina Display, are you less likely to buy one? Let us know on our Facebook and Twitter pages!
