We caught up with Summer Intern Joey “Boots” Schiappa to find out how his internship has been going thus far. Take a look at what he had to say below!
SLM: How’s your Internship been going with SolidLine?
JS: So far, my experience at SolidLine has been awesome. I’ve had the opportunity to learn a new approach to filmmaking that will be very useful as I advance in my career.
SLM: What makes the SolidLine Internship unique?
JS: Hands down, what makes the SolidLine internship so unique is the amount of travel that is involved. The rest of my friends are stuck behind desks at their internships in Chicago!
SLM: You’ve been traveling quite a bit. Which trip has been your favorite and why?
JS: My favorite trip so far was when we went to Orlando, FL to run ASUG’s News Studio at their Annual Conference. I’ve always been interested in learning about Live Stream, and was able to do so during this shoot. Plus… We were in Florida!
SLM: How about the atmosphere and crew at SolidLine, what’s that like?
JS: The atmosphere at SolidLine is very unique because no two days are ever the same. The crew is always on the move, so I get to spend time with different people throughout the week. No matter what, however, you can always count on a lot of jokes and laughs.
SLM: What are your plans for the future?
JS: When I’m done with college, I plan to pursue a career in advertising for internet and television. I’m also an adrenaline junky, so I’ve been considering military enlistment as a communications officer to document their flight rescue operations.
SLM: Anything else you’d like to say about your experience?
JS: SolidLine has been awesome about taking time to help me fully understand the logistics that go in to operating their company. I will always value what I’ve learned here and look forward to integrating new methods into my own creative process.
There you have it, folks! Thanks to Joey for taking the time to answer our questions, and for all of the hard work of course! If you know anyone who is interested in interning with SolidLine, share this document with them and have them email Ali at email@example.com!
